With summer in full bloom we're chuffed to bits to see our brand new Floral Affair Collection with calligraphic writing and watercolour flowers in the July/August issue of Brides Magazine. We sent off our stationery and held our breath... And woah! The result?! Big, bold and serious fun! We love it. In particular we adore how this shoot was styled, with no particular colour theme, just the whole palette please!
The flowers! Incredible work from Rebel Rebel an insanely creative florist with bags of style from East London. We're sure they worked extremely hard to make it look as though the colour scheme was abandoned, just care free and thrown together right? Pah! I doubt it! Getting things to look effortless takes enourmous talent and is time consuming. Just check out that floral display hanging above the table!
And please, if you will, feast your eyes upon the floral centrepiece in the urn! It's not re-al! Dedication and skill demonstrated by Lemon Tree Cakes to create this incredible, eye-popping sugar flower display. The 3 tier duck egg blue beauty on the right is a real stunner from Cakes by Krishanthi. Look at the hue of those beautifully coloured petals clambering up to the very top!
The hand painted detail on the macarons from Baker Baker London takes this sweet treat to another level of cuteness. The lavender and lemonade ice lollies are a welcome departure from dessert tables resembling a sweet shop, Rare Food supplied these sophisticated, adult looking ice-pops with suspended petals - subtle and classy and not a cup cake in sight!
Here's our Floral Affair Order of Service Fan, Luxe invitation and Square Cut Invitation lovingly placed on a soft blue table cloth by Brides Magazine's Lifestyle Stylist Laura Burkitt whose wonderfully bright floral mind the shoot came from, this lady has a raw talent for details and colour.
Our new Floral Corsage Place Card sits neatly onto a napkin or onto the rim of a glass!
The table numbers are available as ribboned tags, hummingbirds and A6 postcard style.
Our round plate menus sit perfectly on a fabulously coloured plate.
As for the dress, who else can get away with printing bold florals on the white backdrop of a wedding dress but David Fielden? We love the way his new 2015 collection is described by Wedding Inspirasi as "not for your cookie cutter bride" and designs that "flit between the entirely avant-garde and an updated vintage aesthetic".
This floral shoot has come a long way from a few haphazardly placed stems in your Gran's teapot and this dress is far from vintage. Well done everyone - an absolute pleasure to be involved! Huge thank yous to Laura Burkitt for asking us to contribute, to Brides Magazine for the feature and also to Catherine Gratwicke for the absolutely stunning imagery.
Our Floral Affair Collection is coloured up in 5 different ways so there should be one to suit your style! Shop the collection here!
